The core issues for the petrochemical leader revolved around complex royalty payment structures, managing diverse international transactions, adapting to a dynamic regulatory landscape, overseeing financial aspects of the supply chain, and ensuring data security during exploration activities. To tackle these challenges, a strategic implementation of SAP Bank Communication Management (BCM) was initiated, focusing on integrating BCM for both SAP and non-SAP systems, automating check printing, and enhancing payment processes for vendors and employees.

Our approach involved deploying SAP BCM’s capabilities to automate payment processes and increase transparency. We concentrated on diminishing manual efforts, reducing cycle times for payment processing, and creating a unified interface for managing payments across various banks. The integration also entailed a workflow-based approval system within SAP ECC, incorporating features like exception handling and digital signatures to bolster compliance and efficiency.
